Chapter 17 – Entry #2- Nagrand
Nagrand Short Stories – Vol. 1
Level 64 – 66
Throne of the Elements
The air spirit states that the Murkblood purifiers are capturing other spirits of air and using them to sow chaos into the ranks of the elements. The Murkblood have taken over a village named Sunspring and they are using powerful elemental magic to disrupt the lake. I was to find the purifiers and destroy them. Finding the purifiers wasn’t hard at all. They took quite the beating to destroy them though. This quest was nice and short.
The Earthen Ring

I was willing to help The Earthen Ring but this was going too far. Lo’ap said I was ill-equipped to face the elements of Nagrand. He wanted me to sift through shit for the Nagrand caracoll. From that bean, he would be able to make a tablet to aid me in the battle against the forces. I think he just thought it was funny and wanted me to go through shit.
So there I was, on my hands and knees. Sifting through shit, the smell was horrendous, so bad that threw up a little in my mouth and swallowed it anyway. Breathing in from my mouth only made it worse. It was like eating it, breathing in hot and humid fecal matter. I was glad I was over with this crap. I needed a few showers after this, BUT I won’t be going to the barber. I’ve decided I’m going to grow my hair out for a little while.
Stopping the Spread

Otonbu the Sage wanted me to use a torch of liquid fire to destroy Sunspring Villager corpses. The Murkblood have taken over the orc village of Sunspring Post and murdered its residents. To make things worse, they were dumping the bodies into Sunspring Lake to rot the primary source of water. It was a disgusting sight to behold, bodies, lifeless just floating in the water. Having to destroy them with my own hands with this torch the sage gave me filled me with a deep somber feeling. Sometimes you do things you don’t want to for the greater good.
I came back to confirm that the quest was accomplished without a problem. Oronbu said doing what they did was uncalled for and would probably set back any negotiations ten years, At least the sage and his village would be around, as who knows what would happen if the corpses were allowed to rot and their main source of water was tainted.
