I hate games like the bridge, but I played it anyways. Here’s what I thought.
The Bridge is a 2D logic puzzle game that forces you to reevaluate your preconceptions of physics and perspective. It is Isaac Newton meets M. C. Escher. Manipulate gravity to redefine the ceiling as the floor while venturing through impossible architectures.
Let me start by saying, I despise games like this. I don’t even know what it’s doing in my library. In ‘The Bridge’ you instantly get a Braid vibe, you control a very stylish human, and everything is in black and white. This is is a puzzle game, and all you do is rotate the camera left and right, and move your character with ‘WASD’ holding down space rewinds time. You basically rotate the level around you to get to the exit door. That’s it, and I can’t fault it for that because, again, this isn’t my type of game.
The art style is really well done here, and that’s about it.
Everything. Rotate the map type games just don’t gel with me. I can’t like everything of course, but my library is mostly stuffed with great games.
Moco has held a controller ever since the Atari 2600 days, to the current PlayStation 4. Ever since I was little I loved to write, so here I am doing what I love most. Only second to actually playing them, I’m writing about Video Games. So stay a while and listen, you might just like what you read.
