Impressions from the World of Warcraft – Legion Expansion
I’m already just short of level 105 but I’ll post my impressions. I’m very impressed with it. Right now it’s pretty lore heavy, with plenty of voice work. Gul’dan seems to be behind things and as of yet I have not seen Illidan nor have I tried the Demon Hunter class.
The Artifact Weapon system is fantastic. You can choose a specific Artifact weapon for each of your specializations, and each weapon has it’s own leveling path, branches in different directions and all. For example, my weapons starting skill is already set, now I can branch left get extra ‘Revenge’ damage for my protection warrior (Which provides massive amount of fun btw), or I can branch right and gain extra ‘Shield Slam’ crit chance. You can also put more than one point in a single skill. You can change the appearance and color for your artifacts too, you just need to complete the requisites.
This all happens in the class halls, every class has one. Think, personal hub. you upgrade your Artifacts, and like garrisons, send champions on missions, and when they return they can bring back XP and most importantly artifact XP which as it says, levels up your artifact so that you may upgrade further down your path.
