I have played Persona as a rental for the PS1, at the time I was quite inexperienced at RPGs, I remember ‘Persona’ being very hard and having to create a save point at a tree. I do not however remember any of the story.
Enter Persona 3 FES for the PS2.
The game kicks off with a great, fantastic, if not beautiful, opera type song and opening sequence, right away you know this isn’t going to be a by the numbers plot. The group members shoot themselves in the head to summon their personas and perform special moves, they do this repeatedly through out a single match. A persona is a type of monster that fights for you. I’m not sure how many total personas there are but from what I’ve seen they’re are at least 150+.
You’re the new kid in town and quickly settle into a dorm that just so happens to investigate types of monsters that have run amok in the city. There is something called a ‘Zero Hour’ where everyone turns into a coffin (they do not remember this when they wake up) and you go out hunting the monsters, also known as the shadow.
Moco has held a controller ever since the Atari 2600 days, to the current PlayStation 4. Ever since I was little I loved to write, so here I am doing what I love most. Only second to actually playing them, I’m writing about Video Games. So stay a while and listen, you might just like what you read.
