Backstory:
I’ve been a HUGE Mega Man fan ever since I was a little kid. I remember picking up the game box and not really expecting a good game, but I was intrigued, and I rented it anyways despite some hesitation.
To not let this post get out of hand, I was amazed at how good a game it was, and I managed to get every single MM game on the NES as I grew older. Mega Man 2 is my favorite game of all time to this very day and my crowning achievement was me being able to beat it with one life. That brings us to Dragon Man.
Dragon Man comes from a comic I used to draw for my friends back in the 4th grade, it was an obvious, blatant copy of Mega Man. Thinking back, I must’ve made around 50+ comics.
That brings us to today, 2015. A great game maker software was on sale on steam recently and it was about 80% off its normal 99.99 price tag. I picked it up and decided to make DM a game.
It’s very hard to finish a game and that is why I made this blog, for motivation. I plan to make 1 or 2 dungeons, an overworld that connects them instead of a boss select screen. A Diablo style loot system, and stick more elements from other genres that I’m not ready to reveal just yet. You can call it a demo, but I just want to gauge the interest in something like this. I’ll be posting some videos to youtube and design documents as well.
Goals:

Development Time: 12 Hours
I’m far from being done, but my motivation is high. I will keep updating this blog with the design process. Thanks.

Moço has held a controller ever since the Atari 2600 days, to the current PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X. Ever since I was little I loved to write, practicing on an old Casio portable printing machine. So, here I am doing what I love most. Only second to actually playing them, I’m writing about Video Games. So stay awhile and listen, you might just like what you read.
